Poem: Liftoff

flight/strides
floating in the night sky
bounding, leaping
propulsion
til my lungs burst

then pause

and do it again
until I can no longer

I long to feel that again
seemingly weightless
breaking free of the earth
and my own resistance
launched into indigo
and lit by orange glow
before stumbling back home.
