Great timing

About 1/3 of the way into my set tonight at La Fontana, I get a stabbing pain in my left knee (old injury) and I can feel it about to give out. Caught it and shifted to balancing on my right foot while having just my left toes touching trying to look natural and not acknowledge it.

No one noticed and I finished my set and walked off gingerly thinking, “yes, timing’s important in comedy, but goddamn it, knee, this isn’t what was meant!”
