Friday Arts & Crafts Day Update: January 7, 2022

Well, I skipped last week, but I did finish 2018 Santa by Prairie Schooler:

All called-for threads, stitched 1 over 1 on 22-count aida I dyed myself.

I also got back to working on “New England Winter Sampler” by Little House Needleworks:

And did a bit on the border of Moira Blackburn Samplers’ “Don’t Worry Spiders“:

I also got a bit of aida dyeing done in the last couple weeks, all 18-count because that’s all I’ve been able to find lately:

And lastly, for knitting, I got a couple rows in on Wassailing Stole by Courtney Spainhower:

This would be going faster if I wasn’t having to stop and untangle knots from the center-pull yarn ball; guess I screwed up the winding or something and the insides of it have gotten messed up and pulled out of the ball:

Well, I’m getting towards the end of the ball anyway, and when I do, I think I’ll stop and weave in all the ends I currently have, because some of those tails are long and also getting into the mess of tangles.

Better luck with the next ball.

I’ve also been a bit more serious about sketching sets and whatnot for the web series, and I picked up some materials to start making set pieces as well, so I guess I’ll get some of that posted sooner or later, though most of the first few videos will be on the same more plain set.
